Where the story lives
Every finished story sits at a private web address nobody could guess. We tell search engines not to index it, and it isn't listed anywhere on our site. The only way to reach it is the link, so only the people you send it to can read it.
Nothing goes public without your written permission
We never put a person's name, dates, or photos on a public page without written permission, and we ask for that permission at intake — before any recording happens. If you don't give it, the story stays private, and that's the end of it. Buying a package is not agreeing to be shown as a sample.
The photos you share
We use the photos you upload for one thing: making the keepsake you ordered. They go into your story, your book, or your film, and nowhere else. We don't sell them, hand them to anyone, or use them to advertise.
The recording
We record the interview so we can write from your grandparent's own words. While we're making the story, the only people who hear the recording are the interviewer and the producer working on it. If you'd like the raw audio for yourself, just ask and we'll send it. We keep the recording for 90 days after we deliver your story, then delete it — sooner if you ask.
Payment
When there's a payment to make, it's handled by Stripe. Your card details go to them, not to us, and we don't store them.
